Celine Dion once shocked her siblings by giving them a whopping amount of money.

Among the musicians in the industry, Celine has one of the most inspiring rags-to-riches stories that has touched people's lives. Even when she became a music icon, she did not forget where she came from.

Celine Dion Once Gifted Her Siblings With Money

Celine's sister, Claudette, sat for an interview with Le Journal de Montréal in 2017 during which she revealed that the "To Love You More" hitmaker and her husband, René Angélil, gave all the siblings $100,000 each during a family party.

Per Claudette, her sister told her to buy new shows and come to the party. In addition, the monetary gift helped her pay off her debt and mortgage.

Celine is one of 14 siblings - Claudette, Denise, Clément, Liette, Michel, Louise, Jacques, Daniel, Ghislaine, Linda, Manon, Paul and Pauline. They did not have an easy life growing up, and they were often overcrowded when they were inside their Quebec home.

"We were three, four in the same bed," Dion told CBS News. "I did not have a bedroom. Up the stairs, before going into the bedrooms, there was a little ramp. And my bed was there." She continued, "So everybody went up, they saw me, and I could wave goodbye and goodnight."

While they were not rich in money, the Dion family was full of love, affection and support for one another.

Celine Dion Does Not Care About Fame

While Celine is one of the world's most famous singers, she revealed she does not care very much about her fame and popularity. She told Magnifissance that she was happier because she became a mom of three, and that was reportedly the thing she was most proud of.

Meanwhile, out of the albums she released, her first English-language album, "Courage," reportedly helped her heal after losing her husband. Angélil died in January 2016 two days before his 74th birthday after his cancer progressed. His doctors told him in September 2015 that he only had months to live.

"When I look back... my family went through a lot. Losing my husband, my manager, the father of my kids, my friend," she went on. "I feel his vibration and his support-oh forever."
