Dua Lipa Album 2024: 'Radical Optimism' Cover Art, Tracklist, Release Date Revealed

After months and years of waiting, Dua Lipa's highly-anticipated third album will be released this May 2024.

Lipa named her most recent album, "Radical Optimism," featuring two of her already-released singles, "Houdini," and "Training Season."

Dua Lipa's "Radical Optimism" cover art shows the singer floating in the ocean with a shark fin approaching her in the photograph. Despite the rather horrifying scenario, Dua looked relaxed and at peace as the backdrop of a hazy sunset covered the upper part of the album art.

The album's back cover shows a blurred version of the ocean, along with the title and tracklist.

Dua Lipa 'Radical Optimism' Tracklist

Dua Lipa's "Radical Optimism" only contained 11 songs, and it has not been confirmed yet whether she had guest artists on this one. Like her previous album, "Future Nostalgia," the song only has 11 songs, both one track lesser than her self-titled debut album, which had 12.

Dua Lipa 'Radical Optimism' Album Release Date

According to Dua Lipa's Instagram post, she revealed that "Radical Optimism" will be released on May 3, 2024.

Explaining the album title and where she got it, Dua revealed that a friend had introduced her to "radical optimism."

"It's a concept that resonated with me, and I became more curious as I started to play with it and weave it into my life," she said in a press release. "It struck me - the idea of going through chaos gracefully and feeling like you can weather any storm. At the same time, I found myself looking through the music history of psychedelia, trip hop and Britpop. It has always felt so confidently optimistic to me, and that honesty and attitude is a feeling I took into my recording sessions."

Pre-orders for Dua Lipa's "Radical Optimism" started Mar. 13, 2024. "Radical Optimism" has a lot going on its back, as "Future Nostalgia" received multiple accolades, including a Grammy for Pop Vocal Album and a BRIT for British Album of the Year in 2021.

It was also received positively by critics and fans, so it's interesting to see whether Lipa can meet (and/or surpass) the expectations with the new album.
