Kanye West has been criticized online because of his unusual appearance at the Rolling Loud California.

The annual hip-hop music festival has seen incredible live performances from hip-hop icons like Nicki Minaj, Future, Kendrick Lamar, and Travis Scott, and even Kanye West in the past.

However, Kanye's 2024 Rolling Loud California appearance with Ty Dolla Sign was a big disappointment.

Kanye West Turned Rolling Loud California Into a Listening Party

Billboard reports that Kanye West's return to the festival circuit wasn't well received by Rolling Loud California attendees.

Many complained that Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign got onstage without microphones. Instead of performing like expected, the two rappers turned the appearance into one big, expensive listening party.

In an interview with XXL Magazine, Ty Dolla Sign defended such listening parties. "It's still better than other people's shows that have a mic," he said in a pre-taped interview.

Kanye West Fans Enraged at Rolling Loud California Performance

Complaints have flooded X, formerly Twitter, with fans expressing their disappointment and frustration with Kanye West's Rolling Loud California performance.

"This Kanye west rolling loud performance is no different from a listening party , I stay up late for this," a user posted.

"Lmao let's be fkn real, @RollingLoud unprofessional and @kanyewest didn't even perform last night. Dam boo you could have told us it was just a listening party, a little respect," a fan wrote.

"Stop w the justifications, no one wants the listening parties. People wanted performance not that. Enough!" another commented.

"We got lied to and finessed. They promoted it as a concert and performance. Literally said that multiple times. We got a listening party with no mic in their hands. And they even left early," a user complained.

"S**t was a scam, mid, a disappointment. Not even a concert, worst concert I've been to probably," a fan said on Instagram.

"False advertisement was a listening party, not a concert, another echoed.

Meanwhile, fans are anticipating Nicki Minaj's Pink Friday set at Rolling Loud's second sold-out festival night on Friday (March 15). Post Malone will be headlining the Saturday set, while Future and Metro Boomin' close the four-day festival.
