Mel B may have said something she wasn't supposed to on national television. The Spice Girl walked out of an interview on the Today Show with Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager.

As to why she walked out, she seemed to have confirmed a longstanding rumor swirling around the media.

Mel B Gets Asked About Spice Girl Reunion Project

While on a press tour for her updated version of her 2018 memoir Brutally Honest, Mel B was pressed on a question by Jenna Bush Hager about an upcoming Spice Girl project. Hager asked Mel B if she could "break the news" and announce on live television that a Spice Girl reunion was happening.

"I can't because I always get told off because I'm the blabbermouth," she teased. Still, "You know, we are working -- I think I said this to you before, us five are working on something that's going to be announced soon."

However, Hager wanted more than Mel B had said, and she tried to push even further. Mel B confirmed that people would be "very, very, very" satisfied with a project that all five of them were putting out soon.

Hager also noted that *NSYNC recently came out of hiatus and reunited with Justin Timberlake.

But as Mel B was caught in the moment, Hager badgered her with a huge question -- "Can we go see you on tour?"

Unguarded, Mel B responded, "You're gonna be able to" before apparently realizing she might have confirmed a Spice Girl tour on television.

A giddy and excited Hager and Hoda Kotb were shocked as Mel B tried to compose herself.

Mel B, who only realized that she's "gonna get in trouble for saying anything," lept out of her chair and walked off the set.

Hager and Kotb celebrated with people behind the camera after successfully squeezing out the apparent scoop on the Spice Girls reunion, excitedly waiting for the official announcement.
