It's been a few days since Taylor Swift released her latest album, The Tortured Poets Department, and fans are still trying to decode which of her exes inspired some of the songs. Recently, a resurfaced clip of her ex-boyfriend, Matty Healy, went viral on social media.

The 1975 frontman spoke with GQ in 2018, sharing ten items he couldn't live without, including his notebook.

He showed his black journal with the word "Dirty Hit" plastered on the front, referencing his record label.

Healy then gushed about typewriters, which is a significant symbol in Swift's new song, as the rocker said: "It's not like there is any romance to having a notebook, but I really like typewriters as well. I don't have one with me because that is really impractical."

The musician further noted that typewriters and writing on paper are an element of commitment "that goes with the ceremony of it" as they require a person to concentrate more.

Later in the interview, he admitted to being in love with pop stars as he explained: "I think it's important to have a book. It's mainly stories that I write about my dreams of being in love with other pop stars." (via Page Six)

Taylor Swift Seemingly Bashed Matty Healy on New Album?

After the video resurfaced online, many people believed Swift took a slight dig at her ex-lover in the song "The Tortured Poets Department."

The lyrics of the title track read: "You left your typewriter at my apartment / Straight from the Tortured Poets Department / I think some things I never say / Like, 'Who uses typewriters anyway?'"

Matty Healy Defended by His Aunt

The 1975 singer has been quiet over the past few days as he has yet to address the new album, but his aunt defended him in an interview.

Speaking to Daily Mail, Debbie Dedes said nothing surprises her nephew anymore. She said he would not be shocked by the song as both Healy and Swift knew what transpired between them.

"As my nephew, we know a bit more about what went on than has been in the press," she added.

Dedes further noted that Healy is now happy with his partner, Gabbriette Bechtel.
