After speculation that one of Taylor Swift's new songs was about Travis Kelce, music fans made fun of the couple with hilarious memes, with one standing out because it sparked a debate.

Swifties, her devoted followers, have been hard at work deciphering possible Easter eggs on the unexpected double release of her most recent album, The Tortured Poet's Department (TTPD) on Friday.

They soon developed the hypothesis that the song "The Alchemy" was a reference to her NFL boyfriend and she must have written it immediately right after the SuperBowl 2024.

It can be recalled how Swift hurried back from her Eras tour in Japan to witness the championship game where Kelce is the team's tight end. The team played hard and Swift must have been a lucky charm because  Kelce ended up winning his third Super Bowl with the Kansas City Chiefs.

Fans think Swift must have raced right into the recording studio after the Super Bowl to make the album, given that "The Alchemy" has songs about touchdowns, winning streaks, and trophies.

Some people took issue with the meme that suggested this though.

The meme, which features a GIF of Paris Hilton hurriedly getting into a fancy automobile while wearing high heels, was uploaded by an X user using by the name @newyorknoshoes. "taylor leaving the chiefs super bowl after party heading straight to electric lady [recording studio] to record the alchemy," she wrote in the caption.

Some Swifties felt the joke was hilarious and shared their opinions, but others did not find it funny and claimed it could not have been about the Super Bowl because vinyl records take a long time to be pressed.

"I think could be accurate! The celebration description is just too real and no one thought they'd win back in the fall. No idea how long it takes to press vinyl, but if anyone could speed it up, it's Taylor," replied @KLKemp78.

"nope it was definitely already recorded back in september/october to be on the vinyls. so the mustache made the album!" replied @allisonlouisa13 in the comments section of the shared meme.

X user @higginszoo also said: "Well, she had to be giggling at how much of this song actually happened *after* she wrote it, though. Shirts off? Beer sticking to the floor (just a week before release)? Tayvoodoo was definitely at work here. Travis isn't the only one who can manifest things, apparently."

Since they met in July, when Kelce was a record-breaking player and had previously won two Super Bowls with the Chiefs; fans think Swift may have written "The Alchemy" about him before the game, therefore manifesting this relationship.
