Late on Wednesday night, Britney Spears was spotted leaving the Chateau Marmont in tears with a pillow and blanket wrapped around herself. She had been staying at the hotel with her reported boyfriend, Paul Soliz, when things turned sour. She wore nothing but her underwear, and had visible abrasions on her knees.
Shortly after Spears and Soliz checked in, a hotel guest called the police. The guest reported a disturbance, with the woman she described that she witnessed fitting Spears' description. She stated that she had been "harassing and threatening hotel employees and guests."
Police officers arrived at 10:30 p.m., but reportedly left the scene after seeing "no signs of trouble."
Around 11 p.m., Spears and Soliz reportedly entered a "huge physical altercation in which Spears 'may have hurt her leg.'" They had allegedly been "partying and drinking" before things turned sour.
Paramedics were called after Spears was "screaming and out of control in the hallway of her suite." Guests of the hotel assumed that the star was "having a mental breakdown" and possibly injured. An ambulance soon arrived on the scene.
A spokesman for the LAFD, Brian Humphrey, detailed that "emergency services received a call at 12.42am with reports of an adult female injured."
"At 1am an ambulance arrived on the premises. I can confirm no one was transported. Services left the scene at 1.17am. The police department were not called," he continued.
The pop star left the scene with her security team, leaving Soliz and the ambulance behind. She was visibly disheveled.
The hitmaker then took to Instagram, where she posted a photo of a seemingly random man and denied the incident in the caption. The post was later deleted.

"Just to let people know...the news is fake!!! Most of the pics are body doubles and I think most know that!!" she wrote. There is nothing that indicates the photos taken of Spears leaving the hotel were a of body double.
She continued, saying she is "getting stronger everyday!!!" and that she is reaching her "higher power." She hopes that her fans, who she referred to as "goddesses," were also reaching this enlightened state.
Soliz and Spears have been linked romantically since September 2023. Speaks initially hired Soliz to take on a "housekeeper-like" role at her home in which he would "clean toilets, mop floors and pick up trash." She has denied that they are together, but tabloids have covered the duo's relationship since last fall.
He was fired from the position after it was revealed in 2023 that he had been charged with multiple misdemeanors as well as a felony. In 2014, he was charged with a disturbing the peace conviction as well as child endangerment, which was later dismissed. Two years later, he was caught driving without a license; in 2022 he was convicted of a felony possession of a firearm.
