A SWAT team raided "Beautiful Girls" hitmaker Sean Kingston's Florida home early on Thursday morning. Kingston's mother, Janice Turner, was arrested at the scene. Turner, 61, is facing fraud and theft charges. She was escorted from Kingston's Southwest Ranches home in handcuffs.

Kingston himself is currently in legal hot water with Ver Ver Entertainment. The company is accusing the artist of scamming people out of products and services by flaunting his celebrity status. Ver Ver alleges that Kingston purchased a 232-inch television and entertainment system, but only paid for a portion of the product after the system was installed.

An attorney for Ver Ver Entertainment, Dennis Card, detailed Kingston's habit of trickery per WVSN: "He basically has a sales pitch that he goes through to defraud people. He induces them into giving him really expensive things," he said. "He said that he works with Justin Bieber and that he, obviously, puts on a big show here. This is a rental house, he doesn't own it."

Kingston last worked with Bieber on the song "Eenie Meenie," which was released in 2010.

Card continued, "'He is stealing the property itself. He has a standardized script that he gives people, which is that he's a recording artist --that he certainly is-- and that he wants to purchase these things, but he never pays for anything."

"We know that our property is inside this house right here, so as soon as the raid takes place we are going to have a crew of people in there to reassemble it and take it back to its rightful owner," he added.

"[Kingston] gets the stuff and that's the end of the story. He does it over and over and over," Card emphasized

The singer is no stranger to legal issues concerning theft. He's been at the receiving end of several lawsuits, starting in the mid 2010s.

Kingston fell into trouble in 2020 when he was charged with grand theft over unpaid jewelry that was delivered to him. In 2018, he was ordered to remit $301,500 to a jeweler after he skimped on paying for two watches, two necklaces, a ring and gold chains. He was allegedly kidnapped in 2015 after failing to pay a jeweler for a $225,000 watch. Avi Da Jewelers also sued him for $356,000 worth of unpaid jewelry in 2014.

Following Thursday morning's raid, the "Fire Burning" musician took to his Instagram story, where he posted, "People love negative energy! I am good and so is my mother!.. my lawyers are handling everything as we speak."

The local sheriff's office divulged that "Broward Sheriff's Office Dania Beach District detectives along with members of BSO's Strategic Investigations Unit and Davie Police SWAT, served arrest and search warrants at a residence in Southwest Ranches."

Further details concerning Turner's arrest are unknown.
