Paramore has expressed their strong opposition to the Israel-Hamas war as they call for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.

On the band's Instagram account, they shared relevant information for their followers about Save the Children and Doctors Without Borders, imploring fans to donate to humanitarian aid.

"We stand in solidarity with those calling for an immediate and permanent ceasefire," the band said in the post.

Paramore furthered their support for the war-torn area and affected people as they voiced their support for Palestinians.

"Lastly, we do not believe that support for our Palestinian friends and family equals anti-Semitism. We love our Jewish friends and family and pray for the safe return of the remaining hostages," they went on to say. "That being said, we simply cannot support a genocide."

Paramore's huge support came while they were touring with Taylor Swift in Europe for The Eras Tour. Swift has been pressured by the public to comment and use her platform to raise awareness of the Israel-Hamas war.

A group of Swifties implored Swift to "Speak Now, Taylor Swift," a reference to Swift's album Speak Now.

"As an internationally renowned and significant artist, your voice has the ability to impact and draw attention to crucial problems affecting millions of people worldwide. Today, I am writing to urge you to speak out against the current humanitarian crisis and decades-long genocide in Palestine," the letter read.

Debate on social media has erupted, with some Swifties defending Swift's silence on the issue.

"Why you all forcing someone to speak? One day you want celebs to not give their political advice and next day you want them to lecture public about politics? People are already aware of the current situation. They just don't care. Everyone has their own problems," a user said.

"Cool, make sure you write the same letter to all the other billionaires. Or is it just her responsibility?" another commented.

"You don't get to demand anything from anyone... Focus on what YOU can do, instead of condemning strangers online for not acting in a way you deem appropriate," a third fan echoed.

Several A-list artists have since voiced their support for Palestine and in stopping the Israel-Hamas War. Lizzo, Cardi B, Dua Lipa, and several other artists even signed an Artists4Ceasefire letter imploring the United States Administration to stop supporting Israel in bombing the Gaza Strip in Palestine.
