Jennifer Lopez 'So Much Better Off Without' Ben Affleck: Singer Trying to Change Her Image Amid Marital Woes

Jennifer Lopez aims to change her public image after being blamed for Ben Affleck's issues amid their marital strife, a source has claimed.

The insider told In Touch that the "On the Floor" singer, 54, has been getting the blame and hate, which her close friends have viewed as something unfair.

"You just have to look at the way Ben's been behaving to see the sort of anger issues he's got. No doubt J.Lo is quite pleased people are starting to get a glimpse of who Ben really is," the source continued.

The statement referred to the June 23 incident when the Justice League actor "lost control" of himself as he confronted the photographers outside his Los Angeles home. A video posted by TMZ captured Affleck losing his temper as he exited the driveway and eventually called out the photographers for their "dangerous behavior."

Affleck told the media at the time they were putting her daughter in danger because of the flash.

"As charming as Ben can be, he also has a pretty miserable side, which is something Jennifer endured a lot of the time when the cameras were off," the source added to In Touch. "She never wanted the marriage to end, but the more she reflects, the more she realizes she was the one doing all the work, constantly trying to lift his moods and make everything perfect for him."

According to the insider, Lopez is so much better off without her husband.

The insider also noted Affleck's alleged commitment issues and grumpiness, and his behavior had already taken a toll on the "Love Don't Cost a Thing" singer, so she started prioritizing herself instead of their marriage.

After canceling her tour, Lopez began focusing on getting back into her best shape and being the best mom for her kids.

The source continued, "She's also making a concerted effort to improve her public image. It's no secret that she can be quite the diva, but she also has a very down to earth side and wants to highlight that."

Lopez's decision to fly commercial was also her attempt to score back public affection and prove she is nothing like she is currently being portrayed by Affleck's team.
