The long-delayed Madonna movie is making a comeback.

The Queen of Pop took to her social media platforms to share photos and revealed her dedication to revising the script for her upcoming biopic, now titled Who's That Girl. The title pays homage to her 1987 album and the comedy movie that debuted in the same year.

The "Vogue" hitmaker shared on her Instagram, "I require a substantial amount of Bandz to create this masterpiece...........ALRIGHT (Chronicle of my existence)."

In January of last year, Madonna's highly anticipated biopic, initially set to be helmed to reclaim her narrative from male-dominated perspectives, was postponed indefinitely. The delay was to align with her busy agenda, notably her 40th-anniversary Celebration Tour, which kicked off in the previous summer.

Information about the upcoming movie remains scarce at this time. Still, it has been confirmed that Julia Garner, who appeared on stage with Madonna in New York City in late 2023, will portray the iconic character.

Garner was selected for the role after being considered among a pool of more than a dozen candidates, as reported by Entertainment Weekly.

Meanwhile, the "Material Girl" singer reportedly intends to unveil some of her deepest secrets through this upcoming biopic.

An insider told Radar Online, "This biopic is going to be explosive. Madonna is renowned for not holding back, and this movie is going to be as sexy and dark as her 1990s behind-the-scenes film Truth or Dare and her Sexcoffee table book."

"She's also going to tell all about how she almost died in 2023, her new string of young lovers, and how she's been battling back to health and getting closer to her kids."

Madonna is acknowledged as the screenplay writer, collaborating with Erin Cressida Wilson, known as "ECW," in the initial stages.

This comes after a halt in production of the biopic after Madonna faced a life-threatening health crisis that led to the postponement of her worldwide Celebration Tour.

Another source revealed to Radar Online that Madonna and the production company disagreed on the movie's creative vision, as Madonna pushed for a raw and edgy plotline. At the same time, Universal favored a lighter and more cheerful approach.
