Shawn Mendes is about to release some new music.

On Wednesday, Mendes announced that he will drop a self-titled album on Oct. 18. He also shared the first single, "Isn't That Enough," on social media as an album trailer.

Aptly named "Shawn," the "I Know What You Did Last Summer" singer's upcoming album marks a pivotal moment in his career this 2024.

Bravely opening up about his mental health challenges and process of working on the album over the past two years, Mendes candidly shared his reflections in a heartfelt statement on Instagram and X, formerly Twitter.

"Music really can be medicine. [Two] years ago, I felt like I had absolutely no idea who I was. A year ago, I couldn't step into a studio without falling into complete panic," the "Stitches" singer wrote. "So to be here right now with 12 beautiful finished songs feels like such a gift."

"Honestly thank god for my friends and family. Life can be brutal, but having a small group of people you deeply trust to walk you through makes it so much better. I have no idea how I would have made it through the last couple years let alone make an album without you," he continued.

Mendes also expressed his gratitude to fans who have supported him through his ups and downs.

"And to you guys who have been so unbelievably supportive and patient and loving, thank you from the bottom of my heart. I really hope you love this album, I do. I really really do. I hope it makes you feel warm and close to the earth like it does for me," he wrote.

Mendes released four albums between 2015 and 2020 and became a household name thanks to his chart-topping hits.

In 2022, he embarked on his "Wonder" world tour but was forced to cancel it due to mental health challenges.

In an interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1 in June 2023, he confessed, "I think I am approaching 25 still feeling quite confused about a lot of things in my life."

"And I think that was expressing that feeling of frustration about what is happening, this feeling of swinging the pendulum back and forth," Mendes added.

A year later, Mendes is set to deliver soul-stirring musical experience with two new songs to be released on Aug. 8, his birthday.

"Why Why Why" and "Isn't That Enough" will pave the way for "Shawn." Meanwhile, the album's release date, Oct. 18, holds special significance.

Part of "Why Why Why's" lyrics read, "I stepped off the stage with nothing left / All the lights were f**king with my head / But here I am, singing songs again / Why why why, ease my mind."

Meanwhile, "Isn't That Enough" featured lines that say, "My hand's still shaking / My mind's still racing / My heart's still breaking in tw o/I'm still changing, my friends stay patient / My mother still calls for the news / Isn't that enough?"
