Passengers aboard the KISS Kruise this next fall are in for a rock 'n' roll treat. The band recently announced that it will play its 1975 live classic Alive! in its entirety, Blabbermouth notes. The album helped propel Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons into stardom and is a tribute to the fifth member of the band, the live show. The party leaves the Miami port Oct. 30 next year and arrives in Jamaica Nov. 3.
"We're going back to the golden age when KISS rose to prominence, taking the world by storm. What better way to celebrate the rise of these rock legends than to watch KISS perform the very live album that launched them into greatness 40 years ago? Get ready to rock out to KISS playing their first gold album Alive! in its entirety," the cruise's website reads.
The band has yet to announce a lineup, but it will include some of the group's favorites. Cheap Trick joined the rockers this past year.
KISS ditched their leather outfits and put on suits to perform Dressed to Kill in its entirety this past Kruise. Check out video from that performance here.
Alive! hit No. 9 on the Pop Albums chart and is the band's first gold album. The record's version of "Rock and Roll All Nite" is still a popular track on rock radio to this date. The album is a pivotal live recording, although there is some discrepancy how much of the album is originally recorded from shows and how much is over-dubbed.
