Chris Brown Defends Himself on Social Media After Club Shooting in California, Says Only an 'Idiot' Would Stand Ground

As we all know by now, social media is full of haters. It's also full of people who make tasteless jokes about situations that are far from funny. Five people were shot Sunday (Jan. 11) during a Chris Brown performance in California. Memes and videos showing the artist's reaction hit the Internet and trolls have been talking trash ever since. Brown took to Instagram to stand up for himself, Vibe notes.

One fan's tweet summed it all up perfectly.

"None of these bitchass n----- bout that life," the rapper wrote. "The most ignorant n------ ever! This ain't no western. What idiot u know gonna stand there and get shot. Rewind clip to LA when I wasssss the dumb one standing up by myself in the club when people were panicking and ducking for cover. Bullets ain't got no name especially when u got random n------ being n------ fighting in the club. Our society is fucked up in the head and needs leaders. I don't wanna lead a bunch of ignorant motherf--kers. No individuality and having the mind state that positivity and respect is WACK! That's some evil a-- shit."

The injured concertgoers were rushed to a local hospital to receive treatment. Police are currently investigating the incident and have a few suspects in custody.

A few months ago, Suge Knight was shot during Brown's pre-VMAs party in Hollywood.

"It's disappointing that we as a society can't have fun or enjoy ourselves without any altercations sometimes. Miss me with the bullshit!!!" Brown tweeted after the August shooting.
