Skrillex is known for his pretty weird music videos that aren't released often, but when he does, they leave an impact on the viewer. He has teamed up with famed Japanese animator, David Navarro, better known as Roboto, to create a new animated clip for his Recess track "Ease My Mind" titled Josho.
The clip starts out with commentary from a women and large machinery appearing to warm up for some event. Then the music kicks in as some robotic robotic creature with a sharp oval-shaped head exits this structure and is approached to do battle with another being of similar build. After some pretty intense effects and both doing battle shooting colors at each other, it cuts away to a love scene in space that appears to have been a fore bearer to what is currently going on.
The battle continues with more foes entering the fight before our main champion Seppuku's itself.
To accompany the video Roboto described what this was about. "To all those Evangelions, Akiras, Mononokes and anime fans in general, this is a respect piece that compiles numerous references to works that are important to me as an Artist and have shaped in many ways my view on creating visual content."
Skrillex has been a very busy man in 2015. In addition to all of the success he has had with Jack Ü, notably their single alongside Justin Bieber "Where Are Ü Now," he has also done a ton of different collaborations. He worked with Vic Mensa on a new "No Chill," alongside Jahlil Beats. He also was featured on the new Big Grams album. There are whispers of a new album, but nothing is confirmed as of yet.
