Time and time again, Pharrell Williams has proven himself to be one of the hardest-working men in show business. Adding yet another title to his resume, XXL reports that Pharell has just been chosen as the Artist-In-Residence at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. The celebrity singer, songwriter, rapper, record producer and fashion designer will join NYU Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music professor Jason King in a conversation about his career, influence, philanthropy, and longevity in honor of the 50th anniversary of the Tisch School of the Arts. The talk will take place at New York City's Town Hall, and will be posted on NPR for any out-of-town listeners. Along with his position as a professor at NYU Tisch, Jason King is a journalist, producer, curator, filmmaker, and co-founder of The Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music. Jason is also the host of NPRandB, a channel devoted to soul and R&B on NPR.

According to a press release Allyson Green, the dean of Tisch School of the Arts, said, "We are thrilled to welcome Pharrell Williams as our artist in residence for the 50th anniversary year of the Tisch School of the Arts. Pharrell is just the kind of artist and entrepreneur that many of our students aspire to become. He is remarkably gifted, and he graciously uses his talent for the good of others. Our students and faculty will have the unique opportunity to be in conversation with an artist whose work is an inspiration and widespread. Pharrell has demonstrated a commitment to education in communities across the country. He's dedicated to raising awareness to climate change, and he has taken 'happiness' from the stage and screen to people around the world through his work with the United Nations."
