On Thursday (March 3), Sturgill Simpson announced his new album A Sailor's Guide to Earth with his roaring new single "Brace for Impact (Live a Little)." Just one day later, the country renegade fully detailed his Metamodern Sounds in Country Music follow-up with a full nine-song tracklist and a slew of spring tour date.
And, of course, the new album features a Nirvana cover.
According to Music Row, Simpson's new album is set to be released on April 15. The new project is set to feature nine new tracks, including "Brace for Impact," "Welcome to Earth," "All Around You" and "Call to Arms."
In signature Simpson style, A Sailor's Guide to Earth will also feature a cover; this time around he's tackling Nirvana's Nevermind single "In Bloom." In the past, Simpson has covered "The Promise" and "Poor Rambler" on his studio efforts.
