David Bazan fans are rejoicing this week thanks to the announcement of Blanco, the singer-songwriter's new full-length album made up of songs from his limited edition, 7" vinyl series called "Bazan Monthly." The tracklist consists of songs that might be fresh in your head, if you've been following the monthly series or have been lucky enough to see Bazan on his recent living room tour dates, but the former Pedro the Lion and Headphones frontman has given them a makeover for Blanco.
If you're worried that these songs aren't "new" or "exclusive" to this album, rest easy because they've been reworked to flow as a record, something that Bazan takes very seriously.
According to the official announcement of this new album, this collection of songs was curated by Bazan himself.
"Blanco is made up of songs that were previously available in a very limited edition 7" vinyl series called Bazan Monthly, Volume 1 and Volume 2," the statement explained. "David picked ten of those songs to update, remix and flesh out into a cohesive album format that's easier for fans to collect and bring home."
