The Weeknd hints at the impending release of his upcoming album on social media. The singer has shared several posts about his project.
In one of his posts on Thursday, March 22, The Weeknd shared a video of himself recording his songs in the studio.
"Mastering," he captioned the video.
One publication explained what mastering means in the music industry.
"Mastering is the process of finalizing a song by applying subtle touches to allow it to compete commercially with other songs in the market," Splice claimed.
It suggests that the singer's album is almost done and will be ready for download or purchase in the coming weeks.
In a follow-up post, the 28-year-old musician uploaded a black and white snap of himself adjusting some tunes.
Travis Scott Comments On The Weeknd's Album
Fans of The Weeknd are looking forward to his second studio album. His first one was released in 2016, and it is called Starboy.
However, the singer's fans are not the only ones excited about his upcoming compilation. Travis Scott previously said that he cannot wait to listen to his good friend's songs.
"Abel new album is scary. It's like when I first heard him for the first time," said Scott.
