After three long years, Tinashe finally dropped her second studio album Joyride. The singer announced the music project back in 2015.
Joyride features Tinashe's songs "Faded Love," a collaboration with Future, "No Drama" with Migos member Offset, and "Me So Bad" with French Montana and Ty Dolla $ign.
Tinashe Talks About 'Joyride' Delay
Tinashe had some issues with her record label RCA. Hence, it took three years to release her album. Before she dropped her album, the singer said that she is more excited for Joyride now than she was in 2015.
"I feel even more excited and confident in the album now than I was a year ago, even if a year ago I felt like I had the completed album," said Tinashe.
During another interview, Tinashe explained in detail why her album did not come out on time.
"There's a lot of stuff that goes on behind the scenes, both from the creative perspective to the business perspective. Sometimes along the way, I was trying to get this album out, there was a little bit of creative discrepancies between me and my record label, whatever. There's ebbs and flows - there's me going through periods of time where I thought the album was done and then pushing myself to make it even better. So I'm glad it took all the time that it did 'cause this is the best," said Tinashe.

Other songs in Joyride are "Keep Your Eye On The Road (Intro)," "Joyride," "He Don't Want It," "Ooh La La," "Ain't Good For Ya (Interlude)," "Stuck With Me," "Go Easy On Me (Interlude)," "Salt," "No Contest," and "Fires and Flames."
In 2014, Tinashe released her debut album Aquarius, and it features the songs "All Hands on Deck," "Far Side of the Moon," "Thug Cry," "Bated Breath," "Wildfire," "Feels Like Vegas," "The Storm (Outro)," "Deep In the Night (Interlude)," "Indigo Child (Interlude)," "The Calm (Interlude)," and more.
The 25-year-old singer also talked about her budding relationship with Ben Simmons. The couple has only been dating for six months. She said that being with Simmons is quite exciting because everything is new to her.
A lot of people were already talking about their relationship even before they confirmed it, so they decided to go public with their romance, Tinashe added.
