Super Junior, one of the biggest boy bands from South Korea, is heading to New York for the 2018 KCON this summer.

Super Junior On The East Coast

The event, which brings together K-pop fans from all over the United States, announced on Thursday, April 26, that Lee-teuk, Hee-chul, Ye-sung, Kang-in, Shin-dong, Sung-min, Eun-hyuk, Si-won, Dong-hae, Kim Ryeowook, and Cho Kyuhyun will be flying to the East Coast for the annual concert.

It is not the first time for the 11-member boy group to attend the Korean pop culture convention. Super Junior and its subunit D&E previously performed at the KCON L.A. in the past iterations of the event.

However, it will be the first time that the Asian music superstars will be headlining the East Coast leg of the festival.

K-pop newcomer Fromis_9, a girl group, will also make appearances at the event.

Super Junior will join previously announced performers at the said event such as Wanna One, Stray Kids, NCT 127, EXID, and Heize.

More artists are expected to be added to the list of the star-studded lineup of KCON New York 2018 in the following weeks.

Tickets for the concert will go on sale on May 11, Friday, 3 p.m Eastern Time. Meanwhile, tickets for the convention will be available starting May 14, Monday, at 3 p.m.

KCON New York 2018 will take place at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey from June 23 to June 24.

Super Junior Takes Over Latin Charts

The news comes a few days after Super Junior debuted and topped the Latin Digital Song Sales chart with "Lo Siento," a tri-lingual track that was created from the collaboration between the K-pop group, Leslie Grace, and Play-N-Skillz.

The song debuted at the 13th spot of Latin Digital Song Sales, making Super Junior, which was formed in 2005, the first K-pop act to enter the chart.

"Lo Siento" also entered the World Digital Song Sales chart this week at the number 2 spot. Super Junior's 2011 single "A-Cha" also reached the 2nd spot of the song's sales chart more than seven years ago.

The collaborative track sold over 2,000 digital copies since release, Nielsen Music revealed.

"Lo Siento," a Korean, English, and Spanish language track was included in Super Junior's 2017 deluxe edition of Play.
