Jeff Goldblum can really do it all. After his epic appearance as the Grandmaster on Thor: Ragnarok, the actor will next release a jazz album.

The 65-year-old recently signed to Decca Records, a classic label under Universal, as a recording artist. According to sources, the renowned movie actor has been spotted by an agent after performing at a television show last year.

Jeff Goldblum Becomes A Jazz Recording Artist

"As far as I can tell, everyone loves Jeff Goldblum," said Tom Lewis of Decca Records. "He's a fantastic jazz pianist, a great band leader, and just about the loveliest man in the world. His love of jazz is infectious and whenever he plays, he makes you feel very happy."

He added that, by bringing the music of Goldblum to the masses, they help make the world a better place in their own way.

Apparently, the Jurassic Park star was "discovered" after an appearance on The Graham Norton Show on BBC. Last year, he accompanied singer Gregory Porter who performed the song "Mona Lisa" on the show.

Executives of the record label were so damn impressed by the actor that they immediately flew to Los Angeles to speak to him about recording an album.

In a statement, Goldblum said that he is excited about the new opportunity with Decca which, he said is "the coolest and most prestigious" record label ever.

Jeff Goldblum's Musical Past

Aside from his iconic movies, fans of the actor have long known that he is also a talented musician. He had piano lessons as a child, something that he initially did not enjoy but was forced by his parents to take. When he was a teenager, he also played at cocktail lounges in Pittsburgh. Of course, he is also has a band called Jeff Goldblum and The Mildred Snitzer Orchestra.

"We just started playing. [N]o advertising or anything. It was just something to do," he stated. "So we have a kind of hootenanny, or be-in, or some kind of a jam session is what they call it and people seem to enjoy it."

Jeff Goldblum and The Mildred Snitzer Orchestra is set to perform at the Arroyo Seco Weekend in Pasadena next month. The music festival will also feature appearances from Neil Young, Jack White, Kings of Leon, Pretenders, Belle & Sebastian, Alanis Morissette, and more.

Goldblum is set to return as Dr. Ian Malcolm alongside Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard in Jurassic World: The Fallen Kingdom this summer.
