This Is Us star Mandy Moore is back in the studio! The actress/singer has confirmed that she is working on a new album.

Over the weekend, the 34-year-old gave fans a short sneak into her new music via Instagram. She has been recording with Mike Viola, a renowned music producer and songwriter.
Getting back to it. It's time. I miss it. I'm not scared anymore. No more excuses. No more allowing someone's else insecurities to dictate my relationship to music and singing. Boom. Also- this is just a little demo of something @themikeviola and I worked on yesterday... but still, it's a start!

It has been quite some time since Moore released a studio album. Her sixth LP, Amanda Leigh, came out back in 2009.
Since then, she has starred in several movies, including Disney's Tangled in which she voiced Rapunzel. Last year, she was cast as Rebecca Pearson in NBC's This Is Us, the role that landed her a nomination for Best Supporting Actress at the 2017 Golden Globes.
However, the bride-to-be is finally ready to return to her first love — music. Not much is known about her album, but this is not the first time that she has spoken about her anticipated next project.
In a previous interview with People, the singer who broke into the scene in 1999 with "Candy" divulged that she has been writing a lot of music. At the time, no record label was attached to the project.
"I want to return to music," she stated. "Next year, I've decided I'm putting it out there!"
No album title nor projected release date has been announced as of yet.
Mandy Moore Fans Disappointed Over Emmy Snub
This year is certainly the best time for Moore to release a new album. In the past year, her incredible performance on This Is Us has gained her a sizeable following who are currently "pissed" that she did not get nominated at the 2018 Emmy Awards.
Her costars Sterling K. Brown and TV husband Milo Ventimiglia both got nods from the Television Academy for the category of Outstanding Lead Actor.
