The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill 20th-anniversary tour has a number of changes for its remaining shows.

The hip-hop and r&b star reportedly suspended several performances this week due to unforeseen production issues. Another concert was moved to a later date.

Lauryn Hill Suspends And Cancels Shows

The report from The Virginian-Pilot revealed that Hill canceled an upcoming concert in Virginia Beach. The performance was originally scheduled to take place on Aug. 19.

Other shows including dates in North Carolina and Florida were also canceled. Her show in Miami was moved from July 31, Tuesday, to Oct. 15.

The announcement came a few days after fans from Toronto had felt disappointed that the 43-year-old arrived an hour late to her own concert. In addition, Hill was only able to perform 10 songs for 43 minutes.

Fans saw that she rushed the performance to the point that some songs were almost unrecognizable. The concert ended with her rendition of Drake's "Nice For What," a chart-topping track that sampled "Ex-Factor."

The music icon has yet to release an apology and explanation for the disappointing concert. Complex noted that Hill has made a reputation of showing up late to her own concerts.

Live Nation promises that tickets to the canceled shows will be fully refunded. Meanwhile, tickets to postponed concerts will be honored at the rescheduled date.

'The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill' Tour

Hill announced that she will embark on a major North American tour last April. The tour is a celebration of the 20th anniversary of her seminal debut album The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, which was released on Aug. 25, 1998, and won five Grammy Awards including Album of the Year.

In a press release last month, she also revealed that some big names in the hip-hop and rap industry will be joining the trek. She said that SZA, Nas, A$AP Rocky, Busta Rhymes, Big Boi, Santigold, De La Soul, and M.I.A. are among her special guests. Dave Chapelle and other acts are also set to join her onstage in selected dates and venues.

The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill 2018 North American tour will still be making stops at designated venues in Atlanta, New Orleans, Nashville, and Los Angeles. Tickets are still available via Ticketmaster.
