John Legend and Chrissy Teigen finally welcomed their fourth child, and they couldn't be happier, especially after their devastating pregnancy loss two years back.

The "All Of Me" singer surprised fans at his concert last Friday with the news that his wife had given birth to their "little baby this morning."

According to People magazine, a source shared just how ecstatic the pair are, "They both really wanted to add another baby to the family. It's been a long road."

The pregnancy was first announced back in August, and despite the happy news, Teigen could not help but reflect on her previous pregnancy.

"The last few years have been a blur of emotions to say the least, but joy has filled our home and hearts again," wrote the model in her announcement.

"Every appointment I've said to myself, 'ok if it's healthy today I'll announce' but then I breathe a sigh of relief to hear a heartbeat and decide I'm just too nervous still."

Heartbreak

The couple's worries about having a healthy pregnancy stem from the heartbreak they endured in 2020 when they lost their son Jack.

"We are shocked and in the kind of deep pain you only hear about, the kind of pain we've never felt before," Teigen wrote in an Instagram post back in October 2020. "We were never able to stop the bleeding and give our baby the fluids he needed, despite bags and bags of blood transfusions. It just wasn't enough."

Reports say that Teigen's third pregnancy was a tough one; she was hospitalized because of excessive bleeding from her placenta and received blood transfusions when she experience a "huge blood clot."

Despite their best efforts, they lost their third baby but soldiered on. According to reports, Legend and Teigen opted to conceive through IVF or In vitro fertilization after losing Jack.

This isn't Teigen's first experience with IVF treatments, in fact, this is how she conceived her first two children, Luna Simone and Miles Theodore.

In fact, Jack, out of all their children, was the only one who was conceived naturally.

They even announced their pregnancy with Jack through the singer's music video "Wild," released in August 2020.

A source explained that Jack was considered a "miracle" by the couple and that they "never thought it would be possible for Chrissy to get pregnant naturally."

Now that they have welcomed their new baby, the couple can now breathe a sigh of relief and fully enjoy their time with their fourth child-whose name is yet to be disclosed to the public.
