Linkin Park dropped a new song a few days ago and many fans are being hopeful that the band will get together again at a live concert anytime soon. However, Mark Shinoda finally spoke out and revealed that there are certain things the band couldn't do at the moment.

Since the 20th-anniversary edition of the band's album "Meteora" will be released soon, KROQ's Nicole Alvarez asked the musician whether the band will embark on a tour again since they have new material.

Shinoda didn't hesitate to answer and immediately addressed the possibility of getting back together for a tour, saying he normally tries to manage his expectations, but there are "certain things that are going to be on the table, certain things that are off the table." (via NME)

With the upcoming release, the vocalist said, "I don't think there's very much to say is off the table." On the other hand, a series of live concerts shouldn't be expected by fans as they won't be touring.

The recent interview comes a few days after Linkin Park dropped a new song after six years of not releasing any new content. Titled "Lost" from their "Meteora" archives, the track featured late vocalist Chester Bennington's voice.

In a press release, Shinoda said stumbling upon the old song felt like finding a favorite photo that a person forgot that they had taken in the past.

"For years, fans have been asking us to release something with Chester's voice, and I'm thrilled we've been able to make that happen in such a special way," he said.

Teasing fans about the upcoming reissue of "Meteora," the songwriter said their supporters will be "floored" when they hear and see all the content that they have never released before.

In other updates, Shinoda also revealed that Linkin Park will have a new song that would be featured in the movie "Scream VI."

Elsewhere in the interview, the musician also noted that he produced a lot of stuff for other people, his solo project, and for the group and it appears that he's not stopping anytime soon, adding, "it's a great time to be a Linkin Park fan."

Linkin Park has been on an indefinite hiatus since frontman Chester Bennington's death in 2017, but the current vocalist said they're planning to regularly communicate with their fans in the future.
