On her Instagram account earlier today, synth pop artist Sky Ferreira announced that she has begun working on her second album. The 22-year-old singer posted a close-up photo of a studio mixing board with the caption, “Album 2 has now begun.”

This new album will be Sky Ferreira's first since her debut album Night Time, My Time, which was released back in Oct. 2013. If the recording of this new album goes anything like Night Time, My Time, however, we probably shouldn't being expecting its release for another couple of years.
Ferreira's debut was originally intended for release all the way back in Jan. 2011, but through a series of delays spurred on by label disputes and budget issues, the album's completion and release was held off for more than two years. Even once the album was released in the US on Oct. 2013, its UK release was delayed until March 2014.
In addition to Night Time, My Time, Ferreira has also released three EPs: 2011's As If!, 2012's Ghost, and 2013's Night Time, My Time: B-Sides Part 1. Ferreira's most recent single is "I Blame Myself," which was released on June 9.
