Over the weekend, BTS' record label finally gave fans some more updates on J-Hope's impending military enlistment, which sent fans into a spiral.

"We as for your continued love and support for J-Hope until he completes his military service and returns," the statement began.

"Our company will also strive to provide all the support he needs during this time."

KPOP fans seeing their favorite male idols enter the mandatory enlistment for a couple of years is an accepted, albeit difficult, part of their fan culture.

They had nothing but well wishes for the "Hope World" singer: "We Will wait for you, J-Hope."

"I know this day would've come but I'm not ready," another added.

Jin's Advice

To ease the fans' worries, J-Hope took to social media to reassure fans that he is doing well with a selfie.

"Have a great weekend. Don't worry too much! I love you, Army!" The rapper wrote with a purple heart and smiley emoji.

The idol's wide smile probably caught not the just fans' attention, but another member's, because he took time to comment on the picture.

Despite being away from the spotlight and eyes of the paparazzi and fans for 18 months, KPOP idols still manage to give their fans updates from time to time.

This is exactly what Jin did over the weekend following the news of J-Hope's enlistment.

The eldest BTS member took to Weverse, a social media platform designated for KPOP idols and fans to interact with each other, to impart some words of wisdom to the next member who is gearing up for enlistment.

"Hahahaha, I see you're still smiling," Jin commented on a picture J-Hope posted on Weverse.

"LOL. You've lost it, [Jin]. Hahahaha, stop cracking jokes. Hahahaha," replied another member, Jimin.

Jin simply replied: "You won't be smiling too long either. Heh."

Enlistment Period

To protect J-Hope and his family's privacy, BIGHIT decided against announcing when and where the rapper will be enlisting.

"The entrance ceremony is a time to be observed by military personnel and their families only," BIGHIT's statement continued.

"To prevent any issues that might occur from crowding, fans are advised to refrain from visiting the site. Instead, we ask you to keep your heartwarming words of support and farewell in your hearts."

The music label also warned fans against tracking J-Hope's whereabouts through online means and noted that they will be pursuing legal action against the unauthorized use of J-Hope's IP.

For now, fans would have to wait until the day J-Hope enters the military to know when he went in, so they can start the countdown to the day he is released again.
