The New Orleans Jazz Festival 2023 is just around the corner, and if there are still doubts about whether it's worth going to, the answer is pretty simple: it is!
According to reports, this is one of the country's longest-running music festivals, launched in 1970. It now boasts over 22,000 alumni performers and 12 stages of music.
So what is all the fuss about the annual Jazz & Heritage Festival?
It is a music festival that will span two weeks and has an incredible lineup of performers, a mouth-watering array of food and drinks, as well as other fun activities that will keep the attendees super busy.
Headliners + Lineup
Make no mistake, despite the festival's name has the word heritage on it, it is not as boring as it sounds; and it is also not all just jazz performers-in fact, this year's lineup of performers is one to look forward to.
According to WGNO, the 2023 New Orleans Jazz Festival will have Lizzo, Mumford & Sons, Dead & Company, Ed Sheeran, The Lumineers, Santana, H.E.R., Jon Batiste, Jill Scott, Robert Plant & Alison Krauss, and Kane Brown.
The festival also invited Steve Miller band, Leon Bridges, Farruko, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Ludacris, Kenny Loggins, the Wu-Tang Clan + The Soul Rebel, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Ave., The Revivalists, Herbie Hancock, Big Freedia, and Ne-Yo.

Activities, Food, and More
This year's jazz fest will have a myriad of food options as well as activities that will keep everyone busy while they wait for their favorite artists to go onstage.
The festival has dedicated two designated food areas for festivalgoers to explore.
Food Area 1 boasts Vaucresson's Sausage Co., Joyce's Lemonade, Gallagher's Grills, DiMartino's Famous Muffulettas, Smitty's Restaurant & Oyster Bar, Smoke Street Catering, Walker's BBQ/Love At First Bite, and more.
Food Area 2 will have The Galley Restaurant, Mona's Cafe, Loretta's Authentic Pralines, Wally Taillon, TJ Gourmet, Big River Foods, Ajun Cajun, Prejean's Restaurant, New Orleans Coffee Company, Sunshine Concessions, and more.
There are more areas festivalgoers can check out if they want to, be because according to reports, food stalls will be scattered all around the grounds.
Jazz and Heritage Festival won't be what it is known for today if it weren't for the numerous marketplaces and activities.
This year is no different: people can take a trip down the Congo Square African Marketplace, participate in Contemporary Crafts, and dig around the Louisiana Marketplace.
