During her set at the 2023 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, Becky G showed the crowd a completely different side to her: she was more confident, self-assured, stronger, and drama-free.
According to reports, while transitioning to her song "MAMIII," the Latina singer indirectly addressed the drama surrounding herself and her fiance Sebastian Lletget.
"Sometimes things don't go the way you plan," she said, as she strut about the stage in her gorgeous two-piece royal blue ensemble. "I'll just say that. But sometimes, it's not rejection. It's re-direction."
Although this is not the first time she has addressed the cheating allegations, it definitely seems like she's finally done with the drama and she's closing on that chapter of her life.
This notion was supported by a bunch of fans who claimed that Becky G was no longer sporting her engagement ring after the scandal broke out, reports said.
Cheating Rumors
According to E News, the "Chanel" singer's performance at Coachella is the first time fans are finally seeing her in persons since the cheating rumors came about.
However, everyone already knows everything about it. After all, Lletget addressed the allegations himself and issued a public apology.
"Over the last several weeks, during a moment I regret deeply, a 10-minute lapse in judgment resulted in an extortion plot," he wrote.
"Since this person did not get what they wanted, it has now become a public social media spectacle filled with more lies than any truth and false posts aimed at the love of my life, the one person I should never take for granted or put at risk."
Among the other things he mentioned in his statement, the part that fans really clung on to the most was when he directly addressed the singer: "To Becky, you have been the light of my life, my strength, who has always shown me unconditional love."
"Instead of honoring that love every day, I have done the opposite, hurting you and disrespecting the one person that I love more than anything. I am so sorry and know I have to do whatever it takes to earn back the trust and love you deserve."
Moving On
Despite performing under these circumstances, Becky G showed the crowd an impressive and incredible performance.
She even performed the fan-favorite song "Showers," after revealing that she did not particularly like the song years ago.
