It's been six years since Queens of the Stone Age last released an album and fans have been waiting for them to drop new music ever since.

Good news for rock fans as the group will come back this year with a brand new record featuring new songs that will sound different compared to anything that they put out in the past.

According to Ultimate Classic Rock, the band is gearing up for the release of their self-produced record, "In Times New Roman...," which will be available on June 16.

The press release noted that the upcoming musical project is "raw, at times brutal and not recommended for the faint of heart." This would be their first album since releasing "Villains" in 2017.

Guitarist Troy Van Leeuwen gave fans a hint on what the album would sound like in a previous interview with Metal Injection, saying there are songs that the band has tossed around for years.

Even though some of the tracks are five or six years old, they are still "kicking around with that aesthetic that have been around for 10 years."
