After numerous reports about Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner's relationship going through a difficult time, it has been confirmed that the Jonas Brothers member officially filed for divorce from his wife of four years.
According to Page Six, the "Cake By The Ocean" hitmaker filed legal documents in Miami, Floria, on Tuesday and he is expected to work with Tom Sasser, a celebrity-famous attorney most popularly known for handling Tiger Woods' divorce.
TODAY.com, the outlet who first obtained the paperwork, reported that the petition for dissolution of marriage states that "the marriage between the parties is irretrievably broken."

Regarding more details about the legal documents filed, it was stated that the couple's two children have been living with the father in Miami, Florida, as well as other locations around the United States.
Despite their separation, it appears that Jonas wants the best for his kids as it was stated that "it is in the best interests of the minor children that the parties have shared parental responsibility."
As of this writing, neither Joe Jonas nor Sophie Turner has issued a statement regarding their legal separation.

The recent news comes after reports about the couple's relationship being rocky circulated online.
A source told the outlet last week that the singer is "exploring the best options for his future" as both of them have been experiencing serious problems in their marriage over the past six months.

One of the main reasons why their relationship became problematic was because Jonas has allegedly been taking care of their children almost all the time even though he's busy on tour with his brothers, Kevin and Nick.

In 2016, they finally met for the first time at a bar. The following year, they announced to the world their engagement.
After two years of being engaged, they shocked fans when they said their "I dos" to each other in a small ceremony in at the Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas, Nevada, just hours after the Billboard Music Awards.
