An epic dispute between Katy Perry and an elderly veteran has been pushed back until next month due to her career commitments.

Radar Online reports that the 84-year-old bedridden resident's trial against the "Thinking Of You" singer is delayed due to her Las Vegas residency and role as "American Idol" judge.

Scheduled for November 3, a return to court is in store for Carl Westcott, founder of 1-800-Flowers, and the 38-year-old popstar.

Sources have reported to the outlet that an exact day has yet to be determined for Katy's testimony.

Despite the efforts of the singer's legal team to make a convincing case, Katy Perry's business agent was still ordered to appear in court.

The defense had argued that she was too preoccupied with being an international pop star and television icon for a trial appearance; however, the judge would not accept this reasoning.

According to Carl, Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom took advantage of him when his Santa Barbara home was snatched away from him.

The pair's business agent reportedly enticed the veteran into selling the property in 2020 while he was on medication due to recent back surgery. The procedure had lasted for six hours.

When the temporary effects of painkillers subsided, Carl believed he had made an error, so he reached out to the couple's estate agent. Unfortunately, their attorney sent a letter indicating they were unwilling to cancel the sale and that Carl was required to finish it.

In the escalating legal battle, the lawsuit brought by the elderly entrepreneur against the A-list couple's business representative has seen lawyers cast doubt over Carl's claims of having Huntington's Disease - a neurological condition similar to Alzheimer's or dementia.

This sickness has rendered him essentially bedridden and unable to participate in court proceedings in person.

At the trial, Court Westcott, the defendant's son, was interrogated about his dad's condition.

The lawyer asserted that Court and his family "made up the entire episode of Huntington's for this case," which was labeled by Carl's son as "appalling."

Before "Real Housewives of Dallas" alum Kameron Westcott and her husband, Court, left for Los Angeles to represent the family's patriarch in court, Kameron told the outlet their family needed to be physically present at the trial as they were concerned that their ailing business person might not survive the significant legal proceedings.
