Olivia Rodrigo thought of renaming her song Teenage Dream anything other than its obvious association with Katy Perry.

The "Good 4 U" singer disclosed that since the Firework singer's song Teenage Dream is so closely associated with her, she and her team considered renaming the track, which is featured on her new album "Guts."

The same titles were just a coincidence, she told Rolling Stone, adding, "We thought about changing the name."

"If someone looks up 'Teenage Dream' on Spotify, there's no way in heck that my song's going to pull up first." Katy stated to the magazine that she is okay with Olivia renaming her 2010 pop hit after her.

"It's nice to see it resonating through the years to different age groups," she said.

She is an artist by trade. It's similar to the time when Fleabag, the TV sitcom, had a significant impact on society. She writes about everything we would never speak aloud-all of our innermost feelings."

Olivia sings a ballad called "Teenage Dream," in which she imagines the day she would no longer be the ingénue, in contrast to Katy's pop song, which is about a romance.

"I grew up in this weird environment where everyone praised me for being talented for my age, and it's about me facing this pressure of making a sophomore record while also facing this pressure of wondering if people would still think that I was cool even when I wasn't a 17-year-old girl writing songs anymore," the 20-year-old explained.

During their initial meeting, Katy Perry proposed to be Olivia's mentor, as she disclosed in another part of the interview.

"I put my hands on her shoulders and was like, 'Listen, I'm here. Whatever you need.' Because I know exactly what these pop girlies are going through, and when I was growing up, no one really did that for me," she recalled.

Olivia Rodrigo, who is now occupied with marketing her most recent project, which was released a few weeks ago, shocked fans by revealing new songs, which nobody had anticipated.

The singer-songwriter announced on social media on Wednesday, November 1, that she wrote a song called "Can't Catch Me Now" for The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes (Music From & Inspired By) soundtrack.

In addition to being a brand-new song on her resume, "Can't Catch Me Now" is also the lead track on the upcoming Hunger Games soundtrack. It was released on November 3.

November 17 is set aside for the release of the entire soundtrack, which also happens to be the day the movie opens.
