Taylor Swift surprised fans by announcing the extended version of her highly successful "The Eras Tour" concert film, which includes three songs that were cut from the initial theatrical release a month ago.

"Hi! Well, so, basically I have a birthday coming up and I was thinking a fun way to celebrate the year we've had together would be to make The Eras Tour Concert Film available for you to watch at home!

"Very happy to be able to tell you that the extended version of the film including 'Wildest Dreams,' 'The Archer,' and 'Long Live' will be available to rent on demand in the US, Canada & additional countries to be announced soon starting on ... you guessed it, December 13," the singer wrote in an announcement, shared on her social media platforms.

Despite the exciting news of the additional songs finally being included in the concert film, the announcement was met with skepticism and criticism from netizens and fans online.

Netizens, Swifties Criticize Taylor Swift Over 'The Eras Tour' Concert Film

The announcement came as a surprise to Swifties, the "Cruel Summer" singer's fandom, and many questioned Swift's motives, noting that the concert film was a "cash grab."

"I've been thinking about this for an hour and I've decided charging for a theatre ticket, then to rent and then probably to watch on a streaming service is overkill," one wrote.

"In the past, no tour movie has had a theatrical release to begin with (that I remember, anyway). And they've just gone to streaming since 1989. Assuming it does end up on streaming, charging 3 times to consume it without even owning it is a little outrageous," another added."

Some Swifties labeled the move "unnecessary" and a blatant display of Swift being a capitalist.

"I usually defend Taylor with this kind of stuff but this just feels like a blatant money grab and I hate that."
