Kali Uchis debuted her baby bump as she dropped her new album "Orquídeas," and she revealed that her pregnancy is the catalyst of a new era of her music and artistry.
"The flower, for me, it always symbolized timelessness, femininity, luxury," the "Moonlight" singer told Billboard News, noting that the flower was inspired by fertility and her pregnancy.
"It has an eerie, mystical quality about it as well. It's also the national flower of Colombia, so for me it all tied in," she added, noting that "it all came together perfectly."
"Orquídeas" is hardly Uchis first album, it is her fourth, and it also happens to be her second Spanish-language full-length effort, since she usually chooses either an all-English or all-Spanish language album.
However, her pregnancy not only inspired the concept for her new album, it also opened her eyes to what music she is planning to release in the future.
Kali Uchis Already Planning For Another Album?
As per her interview, Uchis revealed that she is already working on her fifth studio album, and has been mapping out what her discography will look like.
"I'm not a new artist anymore, I'm looking at my discography as a whole," the "Telepatia" singer said.
"My next album that I've been working on that is also going to come out this year is all downtempo music. So being able to have to contrast, there's so much within me that needs to be expressed and I never want to confine myself to anything."
The singer then went on to explain that she has a lot in store and that "there's so much to be excited for," her pregnancy will not slow her down in the slightest.
"I try to remember that my music is supposed to be in the forefront, my private life and personal matters, I really don't want that to be something that's consuming or overshadowing my work."

Kali Uchis Debut Pregnancy Bump
According to reports, Uchis is currently pregnant with her first child; she and her boyfriend Don Toliver seem to be very excited to welcome the newest addition to their family.
The "See You Again" singer proudly showed off her pregnancy bump at the "Orquídeas" album release party, and she also shared several pictures on her Instagram as well.
