During the podcast episode that he and his brother Jason Kelce released on Wednesday, Travis Kelce revealed some dubious information regarding Simone Biles' husband, Jonathan Owens.

When he made the joke, the tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs and the soon-to-be retired center for the Philadelphia Eagles were making light of Travis' 2024 People's Choice Awards candidacy for Athlete of the Year on "New Heights."

"How is Simone Biles on this but her boyfriend [sic] isn't?" Jason, 36, asked of the Green Bay Packers safety, 28, as Travis, 34, interrupted with a laugh, "How am I on this?"

Travis added, somewhat sarcastically, "Owens?," showing that he wasn't as shocked that Owens hadn't been included in the category. ""Played some good ball over there, I guess," he added.

The two-time Super Bowl champion also made light of the fact by saying he was only nominated for hosting "Saturday Night Live," notably omitting to bring up the possibility that his friendship with Taylor Swift contributed to his nomination.

It's weird though, because while Travis Kelce is known in his own right, especially in the world of sports - there's no denying his name blew up when he became Taylor Swift's boyfriend. Even Jason Kelce's popularity got a boost, as evidenced by the Swifties who said they were saddened over his upcoming retirement.

Although Travis Kelce, the brother of Taylor Swift's boyfriend, has not yet provided an explanation for his future plans, the co-star of the New Heights podcast and de facto uncle to Swifties, will always have the memories of his 13 NFL seasons with him, no matter where he goes or what he does next, due to Swifties.

A dramatic fan-edited montage with voiceovers from Jason throughout his career mixed with lyrics from Swift's "Long Live" is shared by Del, a Swift fan account on X, formerly known as Twitter. In the past 24 hours, the video has received over 300,000 views.

Before Swift and Travis started dating four months ago, a fan said they were not that interested in football, and now they were "crying over a retirement announcement."

When Owens said he had never heard of his wife, a seven-time Olympic medallist, and that he was more of a "catch" than her on the celebrity dating app Raya, he infuriated supporters in December.

During a guest appearance on the "Pivot" podcast, he commented, "I always say that the men are the catch."

Biles, 26, stood by Owens during the controversy as social media users criticized him for his divisive remarks. Under his Instagram post, she added, "for life," mirroring his statement that they are "unbothered" by the criticism.

Owens continued, "Just know we locked in over here," and included several pictures of the two.
