Dua Lipa is going solo, as she recently revealed that her new album will contain no features or collaborations.

Lipa has released the lead single, "Houdini," of her still-untitled new album, whose sound she claims was different from her previous ones.

Dua Lipa New Album Has No Features, Collaborations

Like "Future Nostalgia," Dua Lipa's new album, which she has yet to name, will contain no features or collaborations.

Rolling Stone revealed the news but noting that it doesn't rule out duets or remixes in the future.

"Sometimes it's hard to explain to someone your vision," she told the publication. "It's also hard to envision someone on it. I think the songs are just so full, and these stories were so personal that I felt like only I really wanted to tell them."

However, the album is rife with contributors including Caroline Ailin, who worked with her on the Grammy-nominated song "Dance The Night," Tobuas Jesso Jr., Danny Harle, and Kervin Parker. Her new songs also include songwriting credits from Julia Michaels, Andrew Wyatt, Billy Walsh, and Ali Tamposi.

The Dua Lipa new album also "centers" on the singer's experiences while being single as she would go into the studio with her collaborators and use her singleness as a songwriting ammunition, thereby learning more about herself in the process.

"I think I have an idea of the kind of person I am in love and relationships, and I feel like it's everything or nothing," she added. "When I'm with someone, I'm there to just give it my 100 percent, my all."

In a preview of her new album, the publication described that "there are no sweeping ballads, though there is one good ballad fake-out that blooms into a more buoyant Carole King- and Fleetwood Mac-inspired moment."

Dua Lipa Songs Are Grower, Not #1 Hits

In another interview with Rolling Stone, Dua Lipa admitted that her songs are not instant No. 1 hits, but are growers or sleeper hits.

"They take so long and never get to Number One, but they stay around for a long time," she admitted.

Lipa has no complaints whether her song does not reach No. 1 immediately, or ever; while it is nice to have a chart-topper, she feels like longevity is better.

"As long as the songs stick around and people are listening to them, I'm cool with that," she added.
