It was like a fever dream when the OG Regina George, Rachel McAdams, appeared on "Saturday Night Live" to introduce this week's musical guest performer, Renée Rapp!

Rapp, who was cast as the new Regina George in the 2024 film adaptation of the 2018 Broadway musical based on the 2004 film, has publicly confessed her admiration towards McAdams, which makes it all the more adorable!

Rachel McAdams Introduced Renée Rapp on 'SNL'

It was an introduction she had been dreaming of for ages! Renée Rapp, who has publicly confessed her crush on Rachel McAdams, had the time of her life last night when the former "Mean Girls" star introduced her in the second half of her musical performance on "Saturday Night Live."

Rapp performed two of her songs - "Snow Angel" and "Not My Fault" - with the latter having a surprise cameo from Megan Thee Stallion, who crowned herself as the Black Regina George.

The Regina George reunion was unlike any other! After the episode that "Saltburn" star Jacob Elordi had hosted, Rachel McAdams, Renée Rapp, and Megan Thee Stallion, recreated the iconic "Spiderman" trio meme, pointing each other as different versions of themselves as alternate versions of Regina Georges.

Apart from the surprise introduction, Rachel McAdams hopped off to do a surprise sketch with Jacob Elordi, pretending to be a "deepfake" of Rachel McAdams named Natalie Partman.

Rachel McAdams Did 'SNL', but Not Walmart Commercial?

It was a surprising move for Rachel McAdams to appear on "Saturday Night Live" instead of reuniting with her former co-stars, Lacey Chabert, Amanda Seyfried, and Lindsay Lohan, on a Walmart commercial for a "Mean Girls" reunion.

Many were dismayed that McAdams was not present at the iconic reunion, but she explained to a Variety interview that doing commercials was not her cup of tea.

"I don't know; I guess I wasn't that excited about doing a commercial if I'm being totally honest. A movie sounded awesome, but I've never done commercials, and it just didn't feel like my bag. Also...I didn't know that everyone was doing it. I would, of course, always love to be part of a 'Mean Girls' reunion and hang with my plastics, but yeah, I found that out later."
