  • Charli XCX Shares 'Gold Coins' from 'Sucker' Album, Sings About the Good Life [LISTEN]

Charli XCX's fourth single from her upcoming second album "Sucker" is pop gold. "Gold Coins" blends machine gun guitars and noisy effects with the singer's sultry vocals for a superb result. XCX has been busy getting fans ready for the album, out Dec. 16, by previously releasing singles "Boom Clap," "London Queen" and "Break the Rules." As "SPIN" notes, "Gold Coins" is a little slower than "Boom Clap" but it is just as infectious. The song is a carefree love letter to the good life, which XCX is looking to claim with her sophomore release. "Gold coins everywhere / Dollars up in the air / It's a billionaire's love affair," she sings. "Gold coins out the window / Money falls like the rain falls / And I'mma spend it like I don't care." Check out the pop hit below.

  • Chvrches Share Animated Sci-Fi Music Video For "Under The Tide" [WATCH]

Scottish synthpop trio Chvrches have shared the music video for their latest single “Under The Tide,” which you can check out below. The Sing J. Lee-directed video uses animation and psychedelic visuals to tell some sort of sci-fi story while synth-player Martin Doherty sings along the track. The band’s other two members, Lauren Mayberry and Iain Cook, show up as well towards the video’s end.
  • Charli XCX Shares Colorful 'London Queen' Lyric Video

Two weeks ago, British synthpop singer Charli XCX shared her punky new single "London Queen," and today she has premiered the song's lyric video over at "Nylon." The video's cheap, colorful animation is reminiscent of those old point-and-click computer games from the late 1990s like "Backyard Baseball," but it fits in well with the song's hyperactive melody. The lyrics are pretty confusing, though, so if someone can explain what it means to "feel like J.F.K." for "driving on the wrong side of the road," it would be greatly appreciated.

  • Charli XCX Performs 'I Want Candy' Cover [WATCH]

Following in the footsteps of Bow Wow Wow, Aaron Carter, Melanie C, and probably a bunch of other artists, British pop singer Charli XCX recently performed a cover of the Strangeloves' 1965 hit "I Want Candy" for Transmitter Live, which you can watch below. Though the "Fancy" singer is known for her electronic, synth-pop sound, her take on "I Want Candy" remains pretty faithful to the guitar-based arrangement of the original version, or rather, Bow Wow Wow's more popular 1982 version.
