Soundgarden to Release 'Echos of Miles' Vinyl Box Set in May
Soundgarden released a career-spanning box set last year in the form of 'Echo of Miles: Scattered Tracks Across the Path.' Now the band is planning a deluxe, vinyl edition of the release, which will be available May 19. Guitarist Kim Thayil put together the box set that includes originals, covers and rare demos. -
Soundgarden To Remix And Reissue Debut Album 'Ultramega OK'
Grunge legends Soundgarden are having a pretty good 2014, reissuing their 1994 classic Superunknown and releasing the three-disc rarities compilation Echo of Miles: Scattered Tracks Across the Path, but they're far from done with the reissues. In an interview with Pulse of Radio (via Blabbermouth), guitarist Kim Thayil revealed that the band has plans to remix and reissue its debut album Ultramega OK, which was released in 1988 and recorded with legendary grunge producer Jack Endino, who also recorded Mudhoney and Nirvana.
