Jennifer Lopez's latest project received an underwhelming response from the public, following a similar fate to her previous projects.

On Friday, May 24, Netflix released Lopez's latest film, Atlas. The film explores the life of a data analyst who decides to trust AI to capture a robot and prevent a dangerous turn in the mission. The movie cost $100 million and had been speculated to have the biggest-ever budget for a female-led Netflix original film.

Despite that, Lopez's latest film seemingly became her newest failed project, as well.

According to the film and TV show review website Rotten Tomatoes, Atlas only has a 17 percent Tomatometer rating. Google Reviews has also collected over 1,000 responses from viewers, gaining 3.5 as an average rating.

Google users who left one-star ratings also left their reviews on the platform, explaining why Lopez's latest film did not impress them.

One said, "This is a movie about Jennifer Lopez's ego. There is no room for supporting cast, no room for plot. I think she saw how RDJ had a close up of his in all the Marvel movies and she said 'I want that'. But not too close, she wants to make sure you can see her cheekbones AND her neckline."

"What is this movie? Feminist propaganda? Woke propaganda? Transhumanistic propaganda? Ordered by Deep State?" another asked, while a third wrote, "Jennifer Hopez has never been what you'd consider a good actress, but she wasn't completely awful, until the last few movies. She just gets worse and worse, over acting, and just sooooo fake,in this role it was completely laughable."

Atlas became one of Lopez's lowest-rated films, joining Gigli, The Wedding Planner, Monster-in-Law, The Boy Next Door, Enough and The Back-up Plan.

It followed Lopez's previous and current projects that received the same responses.

Her former publicists, fans and experts commented on her downfall after her album, This Is Me... Now, the documentary The Greatest Love Story Never Told, musical film This Is Me... Now: A Love Story and 2024 tour This Is Me Live... received underwhelming support.

"Jennifer's always been a marketing and PR genius, but her biggest miscalculation here is that she thinks the world is still interested in Ben and Jennifer's love story," her former publicist, Rob Shuter, told The New York Post. "But no one cares about Bennifer anymore. The world has moved on."
