North West has garnered a legion of supporters online after facing harsh criticism for her portrayal of Young Simba during The Lion King's 30th Anniversary concert on Friday.

Despite getting a standing ovation, subsequent reports claimed fans are outraged because she obviously secured the role because of her "nepo baby" advantage.

One report even surfaced wherein a TikToker, whose own child underwent the rigorous process of auditioning was set aside just because Kim Kardashian allegedly "paid" the casting director to give the role to North. According to the TikToker, her child has lengthy Broadway experience while North West has none.

While some trolls targeted the eldest child of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, others have taken to social media to counter the negativity. According to Daily Mail UK, the defenders took time to remind the critics that they are targeting a mere 10-years-old child.

"North West's Lion King performance was so cute - she's a child, like y'all need to calm down," one said.

"Y'all don't like Kim, so y'all take it out on North? Why are people posting videos of her Lion King performance talking about how much better it would be it was actually a talented kid??? That's a baby! Why are y'all being weird?," another opined.

One claimed, "the world is really so cruel sometimes. North performed for some Hollywood Lion King play, and they are ripping that little girl apart online. She is a child..."

Some said North's performance is actually good and the rest of the world's judgement is clouded just because she's Kanye West and Kim Kardashian's kid.

North made her acting debut at The Hollywood Bowl, captivating the audience with her rendition of "I Just Can't Wait To Be King" on Friday night. Proudly watching from the audience were her famous parents, who cheered her on as she confidently belted out the lyrics.

The crowd's enthusiastic response culminated in a standing ovation for the young performer.

An insider told North West enjoyed the whole thing, and more importantly, did her best to do justice to the role.

"She smiled and seemed nervous yet confident. She definitely seemed to be having fun and trying her best," an eyewitness exclusively tells Us Weekly. The insider even praised the star, claiming she "never forgot the words," and "danced all around the stage."

The insider also said, "[She] looked really happy [and was] always smiling."

Her proud father could not help but whip out his phone to record the whole thing the moment it started.
