With all the focus on North West and her breakthrough acting role in The Lion King and the subsequent backlash about her getting the opportunity unfairly, people have overlooked the fact that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West reunited to support their child on their very wedding anniversary.

But it could well be planned on the Kardashians' side, given that there are already reports claiming Kim was adamant about getting North into the show because it would be featured on her family's reality television show.

Kim Kardashian and her ex-husband Kanye West reunited on their 10th wedding anniversary to attend their daughter North West's performance as Young Simba at The Hollywood Bowl, as exclusively reported by DailyMail.com.

A decade after their May 24, 2014, wedding in Florence, Italy, the former couple came together on Friday to support their eldest child, who made her acting debut in controversy over claims of 'nepo baby' casting.

North portrayed Young Simba at The Lion King's 30th-anniversary concert in Los Angeles on May 24, receiving a standing ovation.

Insiders familiar with the project have revealed the truth about North's role and how she secured the prominent part of Young Simba. They claimed that her high-profile family did influence her casting on stage, and the showrunners felt compelled to agree for several reasons.

According to sources, North didn't have to compete with other candidates. Her family's connections with the production company behind the event, held at the Hollywood Bowl last Friday, facilitated her casting.

"The Lion King at the Hollywood Bowl and The Kardashians are both produced by the same production company, Fulwell 73 Productions," an insider dished to Daily Mail UK.

"Gabe Turner, who is a partner in Fulwell, is also the creative showrunner for The Lion King," the insider added.

Another insider revealed that the family intended to showcase the moment in an upcoming episode of their reality show, seemingly turning the performance into a success for all parties involved. The fact that the show happened on the very wedding anniversary of Kim and Kanye is bound to add some juice to the episode if it is aired.

Kim filed for divorce from Kanye in February 2021, and after a bitter legal battle, their separation was finalized in November 2022.

During their marriage, they welcomed four children: daughters North, Chicago, six, and sons Saint, eight, and Psalm, five.

Both have moved on romantically since the divorce.
