Victoria Monét is receiving praise and acclaim on social media after she released the music video for her song "Alright."

"Alright" is officially the fourth single on her Grammy-winning album Jaguar II. It was introduced as a single almost a year after she released "On My Mama," as a single, in June 2023.

People on YouTube praised the Kaytranada-produced track, praising how Monét's amazing dancing and performance skills complemented the sound and production of the song.

In addition to the masterful production, the Dave Meyers-directed music video paid homage to 2000s icons like Missy Elliott, Britney Spears, Janet Jackson, and even the late Michael Jackson.

Monét talked about the song and the music video at length in a statement.

"Alright is about liberation and freedom at its core! This video is a visual presentation of that sentiment through freedom of movement and fluidity between masculine and feminine energy," she explained, as People reported.

Lauding Meyers' direction and Sean Bankhead's breathtaking choreography, Monét thanked "EVERY single person" who worked in the video.

"They showed up with their A game surpassing what we all imagined. Serious teamwork! We all patiently and meticulously crafted it and are extremely excited to release it into the world!" she added. "There's no better month to release this visual than pride month, black music month and the beginning of summer 24! I can't wait to see where dance artists and the ballroom culture take it."

"THE CHOREOGRAPHY ATE DOWN! The fact that she paid homage to The King of Pop warms my heart," another echoed.

"Excluding Beyonce, Janet, Ciara, current day music and entertainment is boring so its nice to see some DANCING and HARD WORK. Way to go Victoria Monét! We missed this!" a third fan raved.

"just reminding us all why she snagged that Best New Artist Grammy. what a star," a user wrote, referencing Monét's huge 2024 Grammy Awards win.
