LISTEN: Maroon 5, Big Sean 'Maps' Remix Released Before New Album 'V'

It's a big week for Big Sean. His mature, sensual duet with girlfriend Ariana Grande "Best Mistake" was released, and now he's heavily featured on a new remix of Maroon 5's lead V single "Maps."

Today (Aug. 14), Rap-Up posted the almost brand new track, which opens with Sean's verse and incorporates heavy thumping bass elements.

"...But I still get lost on the map to your heart / We're not too far gone / Let's take it back to the start / To the park where we carved our name in the bark / And pretend we preserved all the feelings like they came in a jar," Sean raps in his signature laidback style, leading into the familiar top 10 single.

Though a mid-tempo love song in its original form, the new remix elements funk up Adam Levine's vocals, giving the song a much more club-friendly feel. Similarly, the tempo slows down and speeds up several times, giving off undeniably sexy vibes in the track.

Though the combination of a Maroon 5 single and a rap remix sounds like a bizarre occurrence, it's not the first time the band has called in an emcee for a verse or two. The similarly-themed Overexposed single "Payphone" featured Wiz Khalifa.

"Maps" is the lead single from Maroon 5's upcoming fifth studio album V, which is due for release on Sept. 2. The album will also feature a duet with Levine's fellow The Voice coach Gwen Stefani.
