Lil Mosey bared himself as he broke his silence on the legal case he faced before his return to music.

The young rapper immediately rose to fame when he released his 2019 "Blueberry Faygo." The track became his first top 10 on Billboard Hot 100 single, but the glory did not last as he became the subject of damaging accusations.

Lil Mosey To Return After Rape Case

In 2021, Lil Mosey was charged with second-degree rape but was found not guilty in March after passing a polygraph test during the seven-day trial.

In his first interview since the verdict, he told Billboard how the tough time affected his life and career.

"It's been tough, mentally. I had to rebuild my whole life," he said. "It sucks to have something like that be attached to my name, knowing I didn't do it, and the whole world can see that."

The young rapper allegedly sexually assaulted two women at a party in Lewis County. One woman said she and her friend drank before the incident, saying that she could not remember much after but could recall waking up in her bra and underwear.

Someone reportedly told her there was an NSFW video of her.

The two women also told the authorities they had consensual sex with the rapper in a car before a "forced" intercourse happened afterward.

Before the not guilty verdict, Mosey was ordered to stay 500 feet away from the accuser and maintain sobriety. He was also asked to surrender any firearms.

Lil Mosey's representatives highlighted the innocence he maintained from the start until he was finally cleared of the charges. After the trial, he celebrated the verdict by posting a video of him on Instagram and writing in the caption that he spent two years of his life in the middle of the storm.

The hip-hop star also expressed his gratitude that the "truth had been brought to light."

Lil Mosey Gearing Up To Release New Music

As he returns to the music scene, Lil Mosey pledged to release new songs and conquer the industry again. His absence reportedly brought a positive effect since he grew creatively and learned to hit notes he could not land before.

The rapper went on to hype fans by saying that the songs he is working on now are next level.
