Is it because Swifties have thought Alwyn was already the one and sorely disappointed? Or is Matt Healy truly a bad pairing for Taylor Swift? Is this the new relationship destined to crash and burn?
Matty Healy, the lead vocalist of the British band The 1975, has battled heroin addiction, been expelled from school for fighting, smokes fat joints during interviews, and is generally better known for sex and drugs than rock and roll.

Soon after meeting Taylor Swift backstage at one of his concerts in 2014, Healy boasted to an interviewer that he has got real pop idols wanting to s*** him constantly! He added that if he does not conceal my behavior, he believe he would not stop until he had s****** everyone.

Later, he stated, equally unchivalrously, that he was content with his long-term model girlfriend, but he didn't want to settle down with her in case he was destined to marry "someone like Rihanna."

So is Taylor Swift - the ultimate pop and country singer, really a good fit for him? Is she Matt Healy's Rihanna?

This weekend, Taylor Swift and Matty Healy are expected to affirm their new relationship with a live performance. Now, however, he has taken a calculated risk and is courting a genuine pop goddess.

And many of her admirers - or Swifties, as they are known - are preparing for what they perceive to be her inevitable demise. It has all the characteristics of yet another doomed pairing.

Matty, the 34-year-old son of Denise Welch of Loose Women and actor Tim Healy, is no one's notion of a Byronic ladykiller. His British teeth are stained by his passion of cigarettes and red wine, and he has prematurely greying hair and eyes.

The Times may have called him "the only interesting straight white man in rock right now," but Joe Alwyn, Taylor Swift's former long-term boyfriend and rumored fiance, is undoubtedly more attractive for fans. Joe was purportedly dumped in February of this year because they were on different career paths but fans cannot help but wonder what then does Matty possess that Joe did not?

With a history of opiate addiction treatment and a current cannabis habit, he may not seem like the ideal partner for a pristine superstar pop singer.

His previous relationship with British singer-songwriter FKA Twigs ended due to their overlapping schedules. Prior to that, his four-year relationship with model Gabriella Brooks ended in 2019 due to her despondency over his inability to control his "party habits."

Will Taylor Swift suffer the same fate? Is this going to be written in a new song soon? Is this just a fling?
