Peso Pluma, Karol G, and SZA have emerged as major recipients of the Recording Industry Association of America's (RIAA) annual honors, securing prominent positions in the 'Class of 2023' and the year-end rankings. This recognition applauds top-performing albums, singles, and debut artists who achieved their inaugural Gold & Platinum certifications in 2023. Highlighted achievements include:

  • Peso Pluma attains the highest album certification for a debut artist, earning Platinum status for the collection "Génesis."

  • SZA leads the pack with an impressive 15 certifications, securing the Top Album designation with the 3x Platinum "SOS" and the Top Single accolade with the 5x Platinum "Kill Bill."

  • Karol G takes the lead in the Latin album category with the 5x Platinum "Platino Mañana Será Bonito," while the collaboration "Que Vuelvas" by Carin Leon & Grupo Frontera claims the top spot for Latin singles.

  • Ice Spice dominates the Class Of 2023 list, holding the most titles with Gold singles "Munch (Feelin' U)" (Ice Spice / WorldStar Distribution / Create Music Group, Inc.), "In Ha Mood" (10K Projects / Capitol Records), and the collaboration with PinkPantheress titled "Boy's A Liar Pt. 2."

  • Luke Combs secures recognition for the highest certified country single with his rendition of Tracy Chapman's "Fast Car," earning the most titles in the genre on the Year-End list.

  • On the Class Of 2023 list, Megan Moroney achieves the highest solo certification in the Country genre with the 2x Platinum single "Tennessee Orange."

  • Kenshi Yonezu makes history by securing the first-ever full Japanese language track certification with his Gold single "Kick Back" (Milan Records / Sony Music Masterworks).

Additionally, 15 new titles by first-timers received Platinum certification for surpassing 1,000,000 units, while 33 Gold certifications were awarded for reaching 500,000 units (sales + streaming equivalents).

Noteworthy mentions include Jung Kook of BTS, who received his first RIAA solo certification for the Platinum single 'Seven' featuring Latto.
