This week, Green Day and Saviors celebrate the release of their fifth official number one record. I
n addition to American Idiot (2004), 21st Century Breakdown (2009), Revolution Radio (2016), and Father of All... (2020), the 14th studio album by US punk-pop superstars Billie Joe Armstrong, Tré Cool, and Mike Dirnt is now included in the band's list of UK chart-toppers.

"Thank you so much for our fifth Official Number 1 record in the UK. We're so excited about our future, about our album Saviors and just want to thank all the fans everywhere; the most important people to us!," he said.
"Fans, friends, family, whatever you want to call it. It's been an amazing run for us so far, for decades, and we love you all. We're really, truly grateful for this," he said.

Saviors also makes a Top 5 debut on the Official Record Store Chart (3), where it is one of the most-purchased physical LPs in the UK's independent record stores this week.
It also tops this week's Official Vinyl Albums Chart, with one-third of its total sales coming from vinyl purchases. Green Day now shares a tie for the most Number 1s on the Official Albums Chart with artists like Foo Fighters, Prince, and Celine Dion after racking up five chart-topping hits.
This week, Vermont singer-songwriter Noah Kahan achieves a new peak, up two (2), with his third studio album Stick Season.
This week, Wrexham-based pop-punk group Neck Deep's fourth Top 20 record is their self-titled fifth studio album, which debuted at number eleven.
The group, which consists of the brothers Ben and Seb Barlow, Matt West, Sam Bowden, and Matt Powles, has previously achieved success on the Official Albums Chart with three of its albums: The Peace and the Panic (4), Life's Not Out to Get You (8), and All Distortions are Intentional (4) from 2020.
In addition, Neck Deep makes a Top 5 debut on the Official Vinyl Albums Chart (2) and leads this week's Official Record Store Chart, having sold the most physical copies in independent UK record stores during the previous seven days.
After a four-decade career, Yorkshire-based heavy metal band Saxon has finally achieved their 11th Official Top 40 album with Hell, Fire and Damnation (19). This week's Official Vinyl Albums Chart (5) Official Vinyl Albums Chart (7) also features the record among its Top 5.
